2011 Memorial Challenge Winners
Welcome to the 6th Annual G-Ballers Memorial Challenge Golf Tournament. As in the past it is sure to be an exciting and fun golf experience for all who participate. The tournament will be stroke play and will be based on a cumulative score of the two 18 hole rounds of golf. Back by popular demand this year's tournament will host a senior flight for golfers 65 years of age and above.* At the end of the first round the golfers with the highest scores will be entered into the B-Flight and the golfers with the lowest scores will enter the A-Flight for there perspective divisions. This will be done by a 60/40 percent split with golfers with the highest 40 percent scores entering the B-Flight and golfers with the lowest 60 percent scores will be entered into the A-Flight. USGA rules will govern the tournament and will refer to the USGA 2012 rulebook for rules determination. Rules Judge James Aloway will preside. The following is general information on the tournament.

Duration: 2 days / 36 holes
Entrance Fee: Early registration $135.00. A $75.00 deposit will secure early bird rate. Early registration deadline is April 30th.
After April 30th entry fee increase to $145.00
Late registration (after May 15th) is $160.00
Entrance fee includes: green fees for two day tournament, prizes, snack on both days complements of Cinnamon Sticks Catering and light meal at awards ceremony.
$75.00 deposit or full entrance fee is due no later than April 30th to receive the early registration rate of $135.00. Dates/time: Saturday, May 26th & Sunday, May 27th, 2012. First Tee Off Saturday, May 26th 10:00 A.M. & Sunday, May 27th at 11:00 A.M.
Flights: 4 Flights, A-Flight & B-Flight for the general tournament and A-Flight and B-Flight for the seniors tournament. At the end of the first round the golfers will be entered into A or B Flight. Golfers with the lowest scores will be placed in A-Flight and the golfers with the highest scores will be placed in the B-Flight. This will be done with a 60/40 split respectively.

Should there be a tie for first place the players that tie will have a sudden
death playoff to determine the first place winner. The loser of the playoff will
become the second place winner and In the A-Flights the next lowest score will become
the third place winner in the flight. Any tie for second or third place will be divided equally
between all golfers that tie. In flight B any tie for second place will be
divided equally by second place players.
Skins will pay 3.00 per hole for a possible 54.00 skins purse for the first day in all flights. All golfers in the general flight will participate in the same skins game their first round. The senior flight golfers will play in a separate senior flight skins game for the senior flight golfers only. The second round will have two separate skins games for the both the general and senior tournament, one for the A Flight and one for the B Flight. Skins in the second round game for A-Flight in both tournaments will pay 3.00 per hole for a second round skins purse of 54.00. Skins in the B Flight (second round) of both tournaments will pay 2.00 per hole for a total second round skins purse of 36.00. A new skins game will be started on Sunday so if skins are remaining at the end of either round of the tournament the amount of skins not won will be forfeited.
Putts will pay $35.00 to the player with the lowest cumulative number of puts for the entire tournament (both rounds). Their will be two putt competitions, one puts competition that both general flight golfers will participate in (flight A golfers and flight B golfers) and one putt competition for the senior flight. Their will not be a separate putts competition for the B-flights.
Other General Rules and Information
Late Arrival: If a player is late and wishes to remain in the tournament he will be assessed a par + 3 strokes per hole missed. Players must be at the first tee 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled tee time. Any player that is not at the 1st tee box 15 minutes prior to the 1st scheduled tee time will be assessed a two stroke penalty.
Non-Completion: If a player enters the tournament and cannot complete the tournament his entry fee is forfeited and will remain in the winner’s purses.
Water Hazards: In the event a player hits a ball in a water hazard if the hazard is marked with red steaks the golfer will be allowed to drop a ball near the water where the ball crossed the plane of the water. If the water hazard is marked by white stakes the golfer will have to play the ball from the location the ball was initially hit from. In both cases the golfer is accessed a penalty stroke.

Rules Exceptions:
If a golfers club touches a ball on the tee and the ball falls off of the tee the golfer will not be accessed a penalty stroke.
If a player addresses his ball to putt and the ball moves for reasons other than the player’s club making contact with the ball, such as wind or slope of green player will not be assessed a stroke. Player will be allowed to place the ball at its original location and play the shot without a penalty.
If a golfer plays out of turn based on distance from hole the golfer will not be accessed a penalty. This is encouraged to keep pace of play.
* A minimum of (12) twelve golfers is required for to split either division into flights on day two. If less than twelve golfers register for either division their division will remain whole for the two day tournament and will not be split into flights on day two. In this case that division will have one set of awards based on A-Flight award.
