The 5th Annual G-Ballers Memorial Challenge Golf Tournament was recently held at the Green Garden Country Club in Frankfort and judging by the feedback from those who participated it was that the event in one word was awesome.  We had a tremendous field of not only great golfers but great people that made this event an enjoyable one for all who participated. 

 

Golfers came to play and the competition was fierce.  Jerry Windbush took first place in the PGA Tour Tournament with a total score for the two days of 170.  Jerry came on a mission after coming up just 2 strokes short in last years Memoral.  Two time champion Buddy McGill took second place honors with a total score or 178 and taking third in the tour tournament was Rik Dark with a two day total of 184.  In the B Flight Darrel had the hot putter working to take home the first place hardware.  He also had 9 skins.  As Ice Cube would say "It was a good day".  Arnold Giles came in second in the B.

 

In the Champions Tour Tournament after comming in thrid in last year's Champion's Memorial, Robert Hall took first place with a total two day score of 187.  Carl Smith took second in the Champion's with a 190 and Louis Malden rounded out the leader board to take third place with a score of 197.  Below are the totals including the winners of the B-Fights tournaments.

The second of our annual golf tournaments, The G-Ballers Labor Day Golf Tournament, will be held this year on September 1st-2nd.  Traditionally, the Labor Day has been played at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park.  As a result of the growing popularity of this event we are evaluating the venue to insure that the club will be able to accommodate the increased number of golfers.  The Labor Day weekend is the unofficial culmination of the golf season in this area and for most golfers they have honed there game and the competition is, well lets just say competitive.   Stay tuned for more details on the G-Ballers Labor Day Golf Tournament.
